September Update

Sorry, no new goodies to show you. I've been mostly selling excess goodies on eBay and getting ready for the Next Big Thing. That means I'm just writing to tell you that I'm still alive and doing great.

I guess the biggest news item right now, is personal fitness. I'm down roughly 30 pounds this year, while maintaining my max bench press of 260, and I never was a particularly big guy to begin with. After over a year of research and experimentation, I've managed to narrow fitness down to a relatively simple, repeatable formula that works for me (Hint: 35 minutes of cardio every weekday, some weightlifting, and Nutri-System). The measurements I'm getting now, say that I'm the leanest I've ever been in my life, and the lightest I've been in my entire adulthood. So whoever you are, and however long you've known me, I can guarantee you've never seen me like this. Combined with other changes like perfect teeth (as of February 2006), and very little hair (as of October 2006), this means you'd probably not recognize me. What's the next step after slimming down? Gobbling steaks and protein shakes and adding the weight back as lean muscle? Eh, maybe. We'll see.

Work is still keeping me too busy, the car is running better than ever, and everyone here is doing fine. I'm mostly in position to purchase my great 5-acre tract with a beautiful home on it, except that my position on the matter is that in the next year, the Ponderosa's price will fall, while my savings increases at a rapid pace, so it behooves me to sit here and wait for awhile. I guess that's why there have been so many Lego posts.

But I am going to be getting out a bit in October, so I hope to see you at the Texas Renfest, or Universal Halloween Horror Nights, or in my luxurious downtown office (aka Orange County Public Library). Hope you recognize me.
